I had a blast meeting and photographing this family…adorable kids…fun bright colors…and most of all I loved the interaction between all of them! I have to say that is why I love “lifestyle” photography…what you see is what you get and that’s the way life is! Yes, even a few momoments of pouting. Let’s face it – all parents know we don’t go a day without a little bit of it.

I was so excited when I got the phone call asking to photograph these kids again and even more excited when I heard about all the fun stuff at their new place! I’ve been photographing them for a few years and just love working with them, mom, and yes even grandma. Mom and grandma work very hard each session to get these two to giggle and perform for me. There is also just something about the lighting right before sunset that creates such beautiful images – I love it!!
Sisters | Fargo Photographer
These two adorable sisters look as about opposite as you can get…how lucky is mom to have both…brown hair – brown eyes and the blond hair – blue eyes! Our goal was to get some 5 year pictures of Miss “S” and boy is she quite the model. I just love photographing that age. And litte Miss “S” is 2 and as you know…it’s tough being 2…especially when there is a photographer in your face trying to force you to do things you don’t want to do. So glad we could capture some with her smile…and so glad I brought along some candy necklaces! Thanks for the fun session!!
West Fargo Senior ~ Matt | Fargo Senior Photographer
I was so excited to get back into the swing of seniors with my first 2011 session. I remember when this guy was a third grader and his mom worked in my classroom. Where does time go??! Thanks for the fun session!
What If? | Fargo Photographer
My oldest daughter Alyssa tends to be quite the little worrier and ask many questions that start with “What if…” A lot of time she will start her questions like this…”What if, and you can’t say this could never happen…and then continue with her deep question.” Most questions have to do with natural disasters and yes, she usually has to check the weather radar before she goes to bed at night just for peace of mind. Yesterday morning I woke up early to travel to Duluth with my husband for a work meeting. We left my youngest two kiddos at my parents place a few miles out of Wadena and took Alyssa with us to check out Lake Superior and bum around for the day. On our way back home we started to hear weather reports that weren’t sounding too good…my parents were out of power so we kept calling to check on the other kids and fill my parents in on what we were hearing on the radio. Then from the back seat all the “What if…” questions began to kick in with a lot of panic…trying to hide my nervousness I finally said, these are just warnings that the weather is bad – a tornado will not happen, everything will be okay. As we came into Wadena is started pouring and hailing, as we got to the other end of town metal chunks, siding, tree branches, and what not were blowing around…then we came to the sight of the high school and community center roof on top of houses, people in their cars upside down, houses flattened, and trees everywhere. Filled with panic and shock we realized what had happened just a few minutes prior to our passing through. My husband and dad headed back into town to check on my grandma and help people out…I’m posting a few snapshots from what they saw. As my nerves started to calm and things settled in, I started thinking of all kinds of “What if” questions…”What if we didn’t take the 5 min DQ stop to get icecream? What if we didn’t take a minute to pull over and switch drivers? But a person can’t go there…we can only trust that everything happens for a reason and God was protecting us and everyone else around!

I’ve been photographing this little guy since he was a newborn…it’s always so much fun to see how they change from session to session. He sure was a busy guy and is quite the explorer…that’s what can make sessions fun and unpredictable too! We had to have him knock on a lot of old doors and look for puppies just to get him to freeze for a moment. Thanks for the fun session!!
Summer Fun | Fargo Photographer
Can you tell I’m on summer vacation?…three posts within a week! I love summer for the fact that I get to be home and we don’t have the chaos of waking up so early, getting everyone ready and off to daycare/work on time, and most of all just having time to spend with my kiddos. It definitely gets crazy at times, but we always can come up with plenty of fun things to do together. If I can stay faithful to my bloggin I’m hoping to post some fun summer activities you can do when your home with your kids for the summer. One of our favorite summer time treats to make are these Oreo pudding pops…can you tell they taste delicious??
OREO PUDDING POPS
12 Oreos crushed up
1 box of chocolate pudding made to directions
1 container of Cool Whip
Mix all together in a bowl and scoop into cup. Place sticks in cups and freeze.
We use the little plastic Dixie cups and place them in a mini muffin pan.
When your ready to eat, just run a little warm water on the outside of the cup and they pop right out!
ENJOY!!
and last but not least…my 2 monkeys and a lion. Yes I know they are a little more colorful than normal…they got carried away with the watercolor paints!
Faith | Fargo Child Photographer
I have to say everytime I see this little girl I can’t help but think how she’s one of the cutest little girls I know!! Her name tells her whole story…mom and dad adopted 5 kiddos and then along came Faith. Poor little girl is never going to be able to date a boy with her 3 big brothers and 2 sisters watching over her! Thanks for holding still for a few captures!
Owen Sibblings | Fargo Children Photographer
I had a blast doing this session a few weeks back. These two sisters were quite the little models for me and even had some of their own posing ideas to try out! That’s typically when I get the best images of my own kiddos. Little brother was your typical toddler…busy and on the go!! Thanks for the fun session!
