I had so much fun photographing this family!! They are wonderful family friends of ours, they have kids the same ages as mine, they are neighbors, and they are the owners of the SEARS store in Dilworth (hint, hint) just in case you happen to need any appliances! Such easy girls to photograph too. They knew how to work the camera well! I had a hard time deciding which ones to share because there were so many fantastic shots!

This guy reminded me why I like photographing seniors so much…they are cooperative, don’t run from the camera, and are just plain fun! He told me he wasn’t too much into taking pictures and wasn’t to picky…I think he made a fantastic model!!

I hear her sing this song all the time and tonight…well the sunshine made some rainbows in the sky. Of course by the time I got my camera out and the rainboots on, the rainbow had already started to disappear…but you can never go wrong with having fun splashing in the puddles! She impressed herself when all the splashing started to make bubbles so of course she decided to start blowing her own bubbles. Gross I know…but she is only 3.

So I thought that I would get by doing a session with my 3 year old even though she never did get a nap in for the day…it started out sweet and ended a little sour by the time we left. I also tried round one of getting my 3 kiddos together…let’s just say a round two will need to take place!

I have a lot of catching up to do after a week of laying on the couch sick…hard lesson learned…drink a lot of fluids when it’s hot out so you don’t end up dehydrated!! After an afternoon in the ER on our weekend getaway and 5 days of feeling sick afterwards, I am now FINALLY feeling myself again. So…here is little Miss “I” whom I have had numerous opportunities to photograph over the past couple years. It has been so much fun seeing the changes in her each time we have a session. Those big blue eyes are one thing that doesn’t change though…and how beautiful they are!

I had a blast meeting and photographing this family…adorable kids…fun bright colors…and most of all I loved the interaction between all of them! I have to say that is why I love “lifestyle” photography…what you see is what you get and that’s the way life is! Yes, even a few momoments of pouting. Let’s face it – all parents know we don’t go a day without a little bit of it.

I was so excited when I got the phone call asking to photograph these kids again and even more excited when I heard about all the fun stuff at their new place! I’ve been photographing them for a few years and just love working with them, mom, and yes even grandma. Mom and grandma work very hard each session to get these two to giggle and perform for me. There is also just something about the lighting right before sunset that creates such beautiful images – I love it!!

These two adorable sisters look as about opposite as you can get…how lucky is mom to have both…brown hair – brown eyes and the blond hair – blue eyes! Our goal was to get some 5 year pictures of Miss “S” and boy is she quite the model. I just love photographing that age. And litte Miss “S” is 2 and as you know…it’s tough being 2…especially when there is a photographer in your face trying to force you to do things you don’t want to do. So glad we could capture some with her smile…and so glad I brought along some candy necklaces! Thanks for the fun session!!
